Set in Manacore, between Peschici and Vieste, Gusmay Resort has a peaceful location in its private park. It offers 2 swimming pools, a private beach with sun loungers and a bar as well as a wellness centre and restaurant.

„schöner Urlaub aber nicht meine Erwartungen erfüllt

es war schön gelegen von der Nähe zum Strand

dafür dass das Hotel erst 10 Jahre alt ist, ist es sehr runtergekommen die Zimmer sind semi sauber Vorhänge sind nicht richtig eingehängt in den Ecken ist es stark verschmutzt am Strand sind die Holzbretter der Treppe zum Restaurant morsch und teilweise so kaputt dass man sich verletzen kann

„Ein wunderschönes angenehmes Hotel-Resort.

Das Frühstück war ausreichend. Am allerbesten war der Abholservice durch die Golfcarts. Diese haben uns auf dem ganzen Resort jederzeit überall hingefahren, was bei der großen Hitze eine große Erleichterung war.

Am Pool hätten die Toiletten besser instandgesetzt sein können. Jedoch lag dies auch evtl. an den beiden letzten „Corona-Jahren“ das einige Reparaturen noch nicht in Gang gekommen sind.

Anlage: sehr gepflegt und grün, weitläufig Personal: großteils sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit Strand: herrlich und sehr schön

Frühstück: keine Abwechslung, es wurde nicht wirklich rasch nachgeliefert, wenn etwas aus war Badehandtücher am Zimmer, war nicht auf die personenanzahl abgestimmt

Die Lage des Hotels ist einmalig mit eigenem Strand.

Zimmer sehr klein.Sehr kleine Dusche. Nur ein dünnes, schmales Laken für Doppelbett mit 2 Personen. Frühstück mit Bedienung sehr zäh. Kein frisch gepresster Orangensaft nur angemischt. Sehr viel Plastikverpackungen. Sogar der Saft und Wasser gab es nur in Plastik Einwegbecher. Bei dem Müllproblem was der Süden Italiens überall am Strassenrand sichtbar hat und überhaupt in heutiger Zeit, mit heutigem Wissensstand wie die Meere vermüllen, einfach unmöglich!

„Sehr schöner Aufenthalt, toller Strand, Zimmer in die Jahre gekommen

Hervorragender Strand, die private Bucht wurde nur von den Hotelgästen benutzt. Gutes Liegenkonzept, die Liegen und Sonnenschirme wurden bei der Anreise zugewiesen. Trotzdem war ein ändern des Platzes über die Rezeption möglich. Sehr gutes kontinentales Frühstück, bei Frühstück freie Platzwahl. Gutes Corona Konzept, in den Gebäuden mit Alltagsmaske, außerhalb ohne Masken. Das Hotel liegt an der „Hauptstraße“ von Pescichi (5 km) nach Vieste (11 km). Dazwischen liegt praktisch nichts. Ohne Fahrzeug vor Ort ist es sehr schwer irgendwohin zu kommen…zwar gibt es Busse, die aber „italienisch“ regelmäßig fahren.

Die Zimmer sind zwar sehr großzügig, jedoch sehr stark in die Tage gekommen. Die Einrichtung ist im Stile der 70 ger, das Badezimmer ist dringend sanierungsbedürftig. Man hätte den Corona Lockdown dazu nutzen können, hier mal außen den Pinsel anzulegen, die Zimmer zu sanieren und auch an der Außenanlage wurde während dieser Zeit nichts getan. Regelrecht gefährlich war der zusammengeflickte Holzsteg der oberhalb des Strandes an dem Geschäft, der Bar, dem Restaurant und den Toiletten (sehr sauber) vorbeiläuft. Hochstehende Nägel, teilweise morsche Planken die teilweise rausgeschnitten und notdürftig ersetzt worden waren.

„Traumhaft gelegen - grottenschlecht die Firmenpolitik

Die Anlage ist in die Jahre gekommen und wurde in zwei Corona-Jahren nicht mal wenigstens sauber gemacht. Im Zimmer war an den Wänden großflächig grüner Schimmel. Wenn man sich beschwert, wird mit dem Handtuch einfach drübergewischt. Der Speisesaal eine einzige hygienische Katastrophe. Das Personal läuft ständig zwischen den Tischen herum, dadurch entsteht eine totale Unruhe. Der Weinkellner der beleidigt ist, weil man nicht täglich sündhaft teuren Wein bei ihm bestellt. Es gab außer eine Kanne Wasser keine Getränke dazu. Alle Softgetränke oder Alkohol musste extra bezahlt werden. Genauso die Liegen am hoteleigenen Strand. Täglich 15.50 für zwei Liegen plus 1 Sonnenschirm, egal wie viele Personen. Die Lage dort ist absolut traumhaft und fantastisch. Sehr schade, aber unter diesen Bedingungen - NIE MEHR!!

Für das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis war durchaus passabel. Für eine kürzere Durchreise durchaus zu empfehlen.

Sauberkeit ließ zu Wünschen übrig. Das Angebot des Essens (Buffet) war in Ordnung, jedoch hatten wir das Gefühl, dass manche Speisen teilweise nochmals serviert wurden oder nicht mehr frisch waren, da wir Durchfall bekamen.

Holiday in paradise

All in all a very relaxing holiday with lots of nature. Although the resort was fully booked, we didn't feel disturbed by other guests, there was always enough space foe everyone. The location is the ultimate paradise we fell in love right away we stayed in cala del turco in the flats opening to a garden on the ground floor. It felt like our private summer domicile in the middle of mountains and beautiful pine forests. We loved the private beach dedicated to the resort. We rented an umbrella with two sunbeds for 25 euro per day and left all our beach props there the whole time. The sea has an amazing blue green colour typical for that region. We were happy to feel the exclusivity and safety that no one could come there from outside. The sea was very wavy for a few days and made it hard to swim so consequently we took the chance the enjoy the pool near the reception which we preferred over the other one was full of kids. They told us Vieste and Gargano in general is a windy place. After we had also very nice sunny and calm days. Take a jacket with you just in case it gets chilly in the evenings and it rained while we were there. It was not so bad after all because we didn't get frustrated with the heat and could sleep very well. The food was great for dinner with various and numerous choices that varied every evening. The staff in the restaurant was always very polite.

There was no Internet connection although the hotel reassured us there is. We complained many times they said thay will fix it, restart the modem but still zero connection in our room, garden, restaurant, beach. We had to walk down to the reception every time which was not very close, to make calls and check our apps. I needed to work from time to time by answering mails and make calls but couldn't in my room. Also there was no phone reception and this was stressful. The room was not cleaned well. We looked under the bed and found centimeters high dust chunks. Probably was not swept for six months.

The only good thing is the location, all the rest it is really NOT worth it. The conditions, the food and the service a

- the beach was nice, not crowded at all and the water clean and worm - the location is nice, a lot of trees, you can have a walk in the resort, but there is no place to have a drink in the evening, you can only go early to bed - the fruits and deserts were good

- when we arrived at the hotel, they “upgraded” us to 5 stars, because actually they did not have our rooms free. Next day we asked to be downgraded to the room we have paid for, 4 stars, because it was better, closer to the beach and view of the garden. Then, when they told us to move our bags, one of the rooms was not cleaned from previous guests until 7.00 pm. When we complained, they finally gave us a clean room - wi-fi did not work for 1 week; started to work on the last day and there was signal only in the restaurant (the attitude from the reception personel was: maybe it will work this afternoon, maybe tomorrow, every day the same…instead of saying we do not have internet and this is it) - the entire week we received almost the same food and for dinner the food was pretty bad - there is no signal at the property, only at the beach we had 1 bar from our provider - the corridors to get to the room were dirty - most of the personal does not speak English - there is no remote control to adjust the AC, it can either be ON or OFF (temperature, speed is set by the hotel, no way to adjust it

Some of the staff tried there best to be friendly but have limited English language skills. continental breakfast was ok. clean bed and towels

Aircon was really bad. Noise, load music from nearby entertainment area every evening to midnight. Wi-Fi is terrible, 4G and 3 G coverage is bad. Beach restaurant overpriced, sun bed and umbrellas 25 Euro each day for front road, 15 Euro 2 and 3 line. the gym is a joke shouldn’t be called a gym. You need a rental car to stay here, or you are trapped.
