Holiday in paradise
All in all a very relaxing holiday with lots of nature. Although the resort was fully booked, we didn't feel disturbed by other guests, there was always enough space foe everyone. The location is the ultimate paradise we fell in love right away we stayed in cala del turco in the flats opening to a garden on the ground floor. It felt like our private summer domicile in the middle of mountains and beautiful pine forests. We loved the private beach dedicated to the resort. We rented an umbrella with two sunbeds for 25 euro per day and left all our beach props there the whole time. The sea has an amazing blue green colour typical for that region. We were happy to feel the exclusivity and safety that no one could come there from outside. The sea was very wavy for a few days and made it hard to swim so consequently we took the chance the enjoy the pool near the reception which we preferred over the other one was full of kids. They told us Vieste and Gargano in general is a windy place. After we had also very nice sunny and calm days. Take a jacket with you just in case it gets chilly in the evenings and it rained while we were there. It was not so bad after all because we didn't get frustrated with the heat and could sleep very well. The food was great for dinner with various and numerous choices that varied every evening. The staff in the restaurant was always very polite.
There was no Internet connection although the hotel reassured us there is. We complained many times they said thay will fix it, restart the modem but still zero connection in our room, garden, restaurant, beach. We had to walk down to the reception every time which was not very close, to make calls and check our apps. I needed to work from time to time by answering mails and make calls but couldn't in my room. Also there was no phone reception and this was stressful. The room was not cleaned well. We looked under the bed and found centimeters high dust chunks. Probably was not swept for six months.

breakfast was unorganized, very limited savoury options, no fresh coffee offered which was shocking for an italian hotel Room was very old with stains everwhere

The only good thing is the location, all the rest it is really NOT worth it. The conditions, the food and the service a
- the beach was nice, not crowded at all and the water clean and worm - the location is nice, a lot of trees, you can have a walk in the resort, but there is no place to have a drink in the evening, you can only go early to bed - the fruits and deserts were good
- when we arrived at the hotel, they “upgraded” us to 5 stars, because actually they did not have our rooms free. Next day we asked to be downgraded to the room we have paid for, 4 stars, because it was better, closer to the beach and view of the garden. Then, when they told us to move our bags, one of the rooms was not cleaned from previous guests until 7.00 pm. When we complained, they finally gave us a clean room - wi-fi did not work for 1 week; started to work on the last day and there was signal only in the restaurant (the attitude from the reception personel was: maybe it will work this afternoon, maybe tomorrow, every day the same…instead of saying we do not have internet and this is it) - the entire week we received almost the same food and for dinner the food was pretty bad - there is no signal at the property, only at the beach we had 1 bar from our provider - the corridors to get to the room were dirty - most of the personal does not speak English - there is no remote control to adjust the AC, it can either be ON or OFF (temperature, speed is set by the hotel, no way to adjust it
